Each item, from a few days of safety to a hospitality basket or bus pass, provides real, life-changing support for neighbors facing homelessness. Every gift given before December 24 will be matched dollar for dollar up to $5,000, doubling the impact and helping twice as many people experience warmth and care this season. 1. Week of Safety

Give a neighbor a week of safety and care

Your gift will provide a safe place for a neighbor who is facing homelessness. You will provide a place to rest, eat a hot meal, do laundry, take a hot shower—and most importantly—feel safe.

2. Holiday Meals

Feed a hungry neighbor with a warm and delicious holiday meal for $3.66

You can provide a struggling neighbor with a warm and delicious meal as they find safe shelter and support at Dorothy’s Place. You will be providing them with a nourishing holiday meal when they need it the most.

3. Emergency Food Box

You can provide a neighbor who is hungry with a box of emergency food customized to their needs. Whether they’re camping, or living on a tight budget with a kitchen, you can help make sure they have healthy, hearty food to eat.

Your gift will provide a peer-to-peer support group session for a neighbor who is struggling with their mental health and the challenges of homelessness. Your gift will provide a neighbor with the basic essential hygiene items they need every day that can be hard for them to afford. You will be providing personal care items like soap, shampoo, toothpaste, tampons, pads, and more.

Your gift will provide a neighbor who is moving from living in a tent, their vehicle, or on the streets into a home with a welcome home basket. This basket is filled with items they need as they start rebuilding their life in a home.

7. Bus Passes

Give a neighbor the freedom to travel and move around

You can provide a neighbor who is facing homelessness with a week of public transportation through a bus pass. Your gift will provide them with a reliable way of getting around town to run errands, go to appointments, and get the support they need.
