and always honored to help those in our community who have fallen on hard times. The following are a few of our success stories that we are privileged to be a part of:
Rosa
We were privileged to sit down with one of our House of Peace graduates named Rosa Flores. She's overcome drug addiction, domestic violence, and tremendous pain to get to where she is: in her very first home. We were honored to help her along her journey and interview her about how that journey went.
Robert
We were privileged to sit down with one of our House of Peace graduates named Robert Henderson. He's overcome drug issues, the pain of divorce and some major health issues... and the thing that helped him do it the most was his decision to pursue housing with Dorthy's Place through our House of Peace program.
Dale
After he was injured and laid off from a management position, Dale couldn't afford to live in his home anymore. He became homeless and ended up living on the streets... until he reached out for our help.
Now, life is completely different for Dale and we're thankful that Dorothy's Place was a part of his transformation.
Jimmy & Diane
They dealt with heroin addictions and homelessness from a very young age; now they have their own home and live a clean, fruitful life. They give all the credit to Dorothy's Place and our House of Peace program. They don't know where they'd be without it.
Carlos
After his wife died of cancer, he was unstable and dealt with illness. With that came a stint of him being homeless. Here is his story on how he got past it.
Thomas
It's one of our biggest passions to help someone who is living on the streets move into their very own home. This video is all about our friend, Thomas. He was once homeless, but now he's making BLT's often in his very own place.
Julieta
Meet Julieta. She works as a kitchen staff supervisor at Dorothy's Kitchen. Before she was employed at Dorothy's Place, she was homeless. Watch this video to hear her story.
