POSITION SUMMARY
The Drop-In Center Program Director is responsible for ensuring a supportive, compassionate, and empowering experience for approximately 120 daily guests of our day shelter, most of which are experiencing chronic homelessness. This key position is central to one of the core values of Dorothy’s Place, “the dignity of every person with respect for individual worth and human potential.” The Drop-In Center is one of four programs operated by Dorothy’s Place that work together to guide our guests through the difficult journey from homelessness to permanent housing, while respecting and supporting our guests’ independently-chosen goals. Responsibilities include financial stewardship of the program to include staff development, fundraising and finance management, program development, volunteer development, management of the facility, case management, training, mentorship, and conflict resolution. Leads and supervises a team of community health workers and a program manager.

This job requires routine travel (driving) within the Salinas Valley area and occasional driving and other travel to perform advocacy tasks and attend training.
